There are so many beautiful beaches in the Algarve, each stunning for different reasons. The nearest beaches to Fazenda are Fuseta and Baril/Pedras de Rei. Just across the Ria Formosa, the beach can be accessed by a small train or through a very pleasant walk through the Nature Reserve, which takes around ten minutes. From the sand dunes, you can enjoy views of the village of Santa Luzia and the salt flats of Tavira while observing the wildlife along the way.

Ilha de Tavira is just a short ferry ride from the salt flats of Tavira. It's a pretty little island with a gorgeous beach. Step off the boat and follow the path past the campsite and restaurants. Various water sports are offered here, including jet skis, donuts, banana boats, etc.

Ilha de Armona can be reached by ferry or water taxi from Olhao, and in under half an hour, you can be transported back in time. The port is a hub of activity with numerous restaurants and bars, small shops selling essentials, and a local fisherman's stall where you can buy the catch of the day. Relax into island life, enjoy the beaches and lagoon, and spend a leisurely day.

Praia Verde is an endless wide beach located just before the Spanish border, with great restaurants overlooking it.

Faro Beach is situated just outside the airport, but don't be put off by that. Access Faro Island across a small bridge, and you'll find a fabulous long stretch of beach and good restaurants
